I love it! It was easy to install and I love the spray from the showerhead...it lets out a lot of water and great pressure. AND I have noticed that my skin and hair are softer. Very happy :)

 a great remedy to irritating city water May 26, 2010

i live in a city where the water is apparently treated with too many chemicals for regular bathing. over the past year or so i developed a skin rash on my lower torso and upper arms. it manifested as red splotches on my skin accompanied by itchiness, both of which were worst during and after showering. this is a problem which should be addressed by the city (and by all cities which claim to have clean water), but my skin wasn't going wait for a proper solution. it was for this purpose that i bought this product.
after installing this product, the difference was immediately noticeable. the water, which didn't feel great before (if anything, it was irritating due to the rash), became distinctly pleasant. the rash did not become aggravated after the shower as it did previously. i also noticed that i no longer experienced the shortness of breath which occurred numerous times while showering with unfiltered city water.
after about a month of usage, my rash is almost completely gone, and i never feel the uncomfortable itchy sensation that i did before. since this was the original purpose for which i bought the product, i am completely satisfied! even if you don't have a skin problem like i did, i would recommend this or similar products. the water feels better than any shower i've had elsewhere, every time.

We live in an area where they dump chlorine in the water regularly. Both my husband and I suffer from very dry, itchy skin and were hoping that this filter would help.
Boy does it help! We have only had it installed for a week and there is a very noticable difference in the feel of our skin and hair! We no longer have the need to cover ourselves with medicated 'anit-itch' lotion after each shower. Oh, and we use a fraction of the soap and shampoo we were using.
I had no idea that this product existed until I saw an ad for another brand. That brand had a lot of reviews complaining about black stuff coming from the filter and filter cracks.
I decided to get something that will hold up. The all brass shower head and filter are more pricey, but, from the looks of it, we will be using it for a very long time. Installation was a snap, and there was no 'break in' period. Well worth the money!

I purchased this filter due to the feeling of dry skin after taking a shower. After 1 week of use this filter has made a difference in that feeling. Hair is softer and skin is not as dry after use. Installation is simple but it is a fairly lengthy device. If you're tall you may need to consider the height of the shower head after installation. The shower head that comes with this package is your standard shower head. I replaced it with an upgraded model that had a height extension bar on it. So, I would recommend the filter but I would get the filter without the shower head if I purchased again.

Someone recommended that I get a shower water filter to get rid of the chlorine and chemicals that are in our water (and then absorbed through our skin in the shower). I have noticed a HUGE difference in my hair - used to be dry and frizzy, especially the ends. Now, it is smooth and shiny and I get compliments on it all the time - I haven't changed anything else, so it must be the filter. I feel better knowing that I am making a step to reduce the chemicals I am exposing myself to on a daily basis. It is a great filter, took about a minute to install, looks great.
