I have used this product for about 5 years. I always know when the filter is running out because the chlorine starts aggravating my eyes again. I replace it about once a year - we are light on water use. I get them on the company website though cause if you buy 4 they give you a deal.

My skin was itchy and my hair was extra frizzy from using chlorinated water in the shower. They were a lot better when I used this unit. The filter lasted for > 6months and made my city water much more comfortable.

I recommend the filter, but not how long I left my last one in. Aug 30, 2010

It definitely works as a filter because, after not changing my original since before the advent of the internet, it became so clogged, water would no longer flow freely through it. I recommend changing them more frequently than this, as I intend to do from now on.

The filter performs as expected - bought it as a replacement for a previous one that expired. The filter does two things for me: removes the chlorine smell and softens the water to the touch.

Was a bit worried that the external rubber seal on the enclosure would not make a watertight connection again, but its the filter itself that makes the enclosure watertight in some way so installation was quick and painless.
