Love the Multi-Pure Water filter Sep 23, 2011

Terrific product! My eyes no longer burn and my skin and hair looks so much better than before with the drying chlorine and whatever else is in our water.

Chlorine is not healthy. While it kills bacteria, it can injure the organs in our body and the skin is the largest organ. Therefore, having a good, carbon water filter, not only reduces the chlorine sting from eyes, but also reduces its entry through our skin and into our body, where damage can occur.

The filter lasted about 6 months and now needs a replacement as the bacteria that was killed and new bacteria can get into our water. My only wish is that it lasted longer...perhaps I need shorter showers.

It's finally time to replace my Multi-Pure shower filter that I got free when ordering my under the counter water purification system in my kitchen. This shower filter is supposed to be replaced once a year, but because I'm away from home several times a year I've waited about a year and a half. The water still feel and smells like the filter is working, but I'm going to replace it anyway just to be sure.

I noticed immediately after installing (easy install) that the chlorine smell was gone and that my skin and hair felt great.

Being spoiled by this filter, I get the creeps when showering in non filtered chlorinated water, and notice that my skin becomes tighter in a bad way, as well as my hair feeling more tangled and looking dull.

I will never be without a shower filter. EVERYONE should have a water filter in the water they bathe/shower in. Dr. Mercola has a video on the subject which will be enough to convince you how important it is to have a shower filter. If you can smell chlorine in your water, you are putting it inside your body!

Considering that at $50.00 a year it costs a little more than $4.00 per month, it is a real bargain in my opinion, to have the piece of mind of clean water going into my body through my body's largest organ,...as well as softer skin and more beautiful hair!
For those of you who are interested in filtered drinking water, Multi-Pure cannot be beat and the service is outstanding.
