Works well but pricey Oct 09, 2011
By M. Peterson The only reason for 4 stars is that the price keeps going up and they are very pricey. They work very well at keeping the air clean.

A great filter for a great air purifier Nov 11, 2007
By S. Greer We have owned the Blueair 205C for 6 months and just replaced the filter. This air purifier is fantastic. I only wish we could afford a bigger one. You can move this unit anywhere in the house, a bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, anywhere you need some fresh air and WOW! It really works. The filter traps dust, pet dander, odors, you name it.
A product that really does what it says! The allergy doctor suggested this kind of air purifier and we love it.
Love It! Just wish the price was lower Jan 09, 2012
By Ericha J. Kemm Awesome product. Has saved my life, I am asthmatic and it has made a world of difference. Just wish the price was not climbing steadily......
called a particle filter for a reason...... Mar 23, 2011
By Walleyeman Need to replace these filters every 6 mo. or they start to disinegrate leaving white particles all over your furniture. I wonder how long I was breathing this stuff before I noticed it. Also, once the filter is replaced - there is no way to shut off the red warning light for filter change. I looked at owners manual and it wasn't addressed there either???? Any help appreciated....

Collected 2.5 oz of filth from the air Feb 06, 2011
By Jeddy 3 I foolishly put off replacing my filter for about 1 year. I figured I could get away with it because I keep a very clean house. I'm allergic and my kid has asthma, so I'm always dusting with Swiffers, microfiber mopping, etc. Nobody smokes around here; there are no pets; the windows are closed 9 months out of the year and the rest of the time we use window air conditioning units. Nevertheless, when I went to change my 200PF HEPA filter, I noticed that while the new one was translucent and white, the old one was dark grey and opaque. Curious, I weighed the filters on my postage scale. The old one weighed a full 2-1/2 oz more than the new one. I know it wasn't moisture, because my air is bone dry. Nope -- the filter was saturated with 2.5 ounces of particulate gunk that would've been destined for my family's lungs.
Suddenly it doesn't seem like such an indulgence to replace the filter every six months.
